At Modus, an inquiry is a question we explore together through research, encounters with different perspectives, and experiments in daily life.
Modus draws on scholarship at the boundaries of knowledge, where disciplines meet and familiar explanations leave questions open.
Fellows move between conversation, shared experiences, and fieldwork, then return to compare what happened. The question deepens as each person brings something different to it.
The year moves from self and others to society, the wider world, and creation.
