THE FELLOWSHIP · PHOENIX

A year to see beyond what got you here.

You bring a lifetime of experience. Over a year with eleven other Fellows, Modus gives you space to step outside familiar frames without stepping away from the life you have built. What you discover is tested in the choices, relationships, and questions already shaping your life.

The aim is greater alignment between what you value, how you live, and what you are capable of making possible beyond yourself.

Weekly gatherings give the year continuity. Between them, you bring the work into the conversations, choices, and situations already shaping your life.

A rhythm you can build into life.

Life is the fieldwork. ‍ ‍

You might notice a familiar response, try another approach, or ask a question you usually leave unspoken. You return with something you have experienced, ready to reflect with others.

Questions explored in depth

In person gatherings

One continuing cohort

A year together

8 inquiries

12 Fellows

Five arcs. A widening field of experience.

The inquiries draw on scholarship at the boundaries of knowledge, where disciplines meet and familiar explanations leave questions open. Fellows bring these perspectives into conversation and test what they help reveal in daily life.

Creation ‍

Creation runs throughout the year. Fellows make offerings at midyear, then use the final months to develop a collective public contribution shaped by the earlier inquiries.

The people are part of the work.

Continuity makes it possible to move beyond first impressions, notice change, and return to a conversation with more to offer.

Twelve together

A cohort with different lives.

You explore the same inquiries with people whose experience differs from your own. Over time, you learn how others see, where you disagree, and what becomes possible when you stay in conversation.

Two in close attention

Intentional work in dyads.

Paired conversations and exercises give you time to listen closely, test your assumptions, and follow what another person is revealing. The pair offers a different kind of attention from the whole group.

Who might find themselves here?

Accomplished, curious people who have built lives of substance and are asking what comes next. People ready to question what has become automatic and open to being changed by what others see.

A role or chapter is changing, and you want space to consider what follows.

Your life is full, yet you want more of it to feel aligned with what matters to you.

You want the experience you have gained to serve something you care about.

What you bring to the year.

ENTER OPEN

Bring your experience and a willingness to question it. Make room for perspectives you do not yet understand.

Attend consistently, prepare for gatherings, and give your attention to the cohort and your dyad partner.

STAY IN CONTACT

Try the work beyond the gathering. Return with what happened, including uncertainty, surprise, and unfinished questions.

BRING IT INTO LIFE

Fellows agree to a shared covenant of confidentiality, consent, and care. Participation includes developing public offerings with the cohort during the year.
